My wireless card does not get recognised by Windows 10. It doesn't appear in Device Manager at all, not even when 'show hidden devices' is selected. I tried to manually install the driver by going to the manufacturer's website (I had to select Windows 7 OS to get the correct driver as they do not have one for W10), downloading it to a USB and then connecting the USB to that PC to install it on there. It said it had successfully installed the card, yet it still failed to show in Device Manager. I even rebooted PC, and nothing.

To test whether it was an actual issue with Windows detecting Wi-Fi, I began to install a USB wireless adapter (that another PC uses) to see if it would work using that; it did, I could connect to the Internet perfectly fine using that adapter. Obviously, this isn't a solution as that adapter is needed by another PC.

So what's the problem here? Windows 10 doesn't recognise my card no matter what I do.

I ended up reverting back to Windows 7 in the end and the card got recognised again.

PC is Acer Aspire Z5801 if that helps.
